GRAMPS premieres in Atlanta

I am ecstatic that GRAMPS will screen at the Atlanta Mirco Film Festival.

This fast-paced one-day event brings together an exciting mix of filmmakers and film lovers to celebrate short-form storytelling at its boldest. From dark comedies and experimental pieces to animation, documentaries, and clever micro-horror, they showcase films that make their mark and leave you thinking. The festival is all about films that say a lot in very little time. Every film is under five minutes, but the ideas, emotions, and surprises are anything but small.

Screenings take place on May 10th, at the Limelight Theater with curated blocks throughout the day, filmmaker Q&As, and a laid-back vibe that keeps things fresh and welcoming. GRAMPS screens in “Quick Frights” Shorts#7 starting at 6:30 pm. Hurry up and tell your friends in Atlanta, tickets are selling out quickly.

Let’s make some NOISE in Wisconsin!

The MidWest WeirdFest picked up NOISE and will screen it on March 9 at 12 p.m. at the Micon Downtown Cinema in Eau Claire in Shorts#4, “THE W[EIRD] FILES.”

As one of Filmfreeway’s top 100 reviewed festivals, it is dedicated to exhibiting and promoting independent films and focuses on weird cinema from all around the world. The festival team wants MidWest WeirdFest to evoke the awe and chills of the sideshow alley of a dark carnival, a place filled with wonders, terrors, and forbidden surprises. So join us for a night of frights and enjoy NOISE on the big screen.

Stretch with DOWN DOG

Check out this fun project I shot back in the Spring 24 Semester with Cine students at NYFA. It is so delightful to watch Hilary Barry and Ben Solenberger practice Yoga in this cheeky skit.

THE STAFF WRITER takes off

If you are flying via Milan Malpensa Airport stop by the large LED screen in Termin 1. The MAX3MIN Film Festival screens THE STAFF WRITER amongst 10 other films in the program UNfasten your seat belt & Enjoy your time.

Passengers can enjoy the short films from September 20-30, 2024.

MOVING DAY in Northern California

I am delighted that The Mountain Showday Film Society shows MOVING DAY for their 10th Annual Short Film Competition in Walnut Creek.
Their Annual Short Film Competition has become an exciting addition to their program, presented each September to Society members, their guests, and the general public. The final program includes 8-12 Finalists, with a total running time of approximately 90-100 minutes in the program.

There will be a 3:30 PM and a 7:30 PM  screening on Saturday, September 14th at the Las Lomas High School Theater, each followed by a Q&A.
Hope to see you all there. 🙂

Have you ever lost your SHVIGGER?

I just finished my first Practicum in 2024. I wrote and directed this short comedy and filmed it with Cinematography students at the New York Film Academy on glorious 35mm. Thanks for all the good work on this.

“It just seems like a normal day at the airport’s lost & found until a strange client comes in on the search for something very unusual.”

Enjoy!

A FRIENDLY TURN in Chicago!

Here comes the next film festival for A FRIENDLY TURN.  I am very excited to screen at the Aladerri International Film Festival in Chicago.

The short film will be screened in BLOCK#1 on Friday, September 22 at 4 pm at Facets Multi-Media, one of the leading national media arts organizations in the US. Join us if you are in the area.

Sometimes we need A STROKE OF GENIUS

Here comes the next practicum I had the pleasure of shooting with Cine students. Third time with amazing Ben Solenerger – check it out!

“Corey is unwinding at the nearby park when he suddenly collapses. Upon regaining consciousness, he encounters the enigmatic JC, engaging in a brief yet potentially life-altering conversation.”

Let’s make some NOISE

Here comes yet another Cine Practicum. I had the opportunity to write and direct this short film during the spring semester and filmed it with a group of skilled Cinematography students at Burbank Studios’ Stage 5.

While at home alone, Wendy engages in a phone conversation with her mother. Suddenly, unexplainable events begin to unfold within her apartment. The question lingers: Could there be another presence with her?

BUDDIES on Vimeo

Check out this scene I shot last semester with CINE students. This fun scene was based on “Dudes” by David Dalton & Chad Schnackel.
Luke wakes up his best friend, Alex, to help him figure out what happened the night before but first, he needs to convince him that it is truly him.
