ANTUMBRA at LA Shorts International

ANTUMBRA continues from London to Los Angeles and will be screened at the 25th-anniversary edition of the Academy Award qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival.

Congrats to cast and crew for this giant leap.

This is also my personal fifths anniversary of presenting a film at this great festival.

The SciFi screenings will premiere online on July 8th and are accessible through The Shorts Network Youtube Channel. Check out the LA Shorts Facebook page for more info and visit their page on how to watch the films.

ANTUMBRA runner up in London.

ANTUMBRA was well received in the UK and I was told it looked amazing on the IMAX screen at the Odeon in Greenwich.

The film was the runner-up for Best 5 Minute Film at the WildINDiE festival in London.

ANTUMBRA lands in London’s Wild Indie Festival!

The WildIndie festival included ANTUMBRA in this years’ lineup. A truly great festival that fosters independent film and was awarded one of London’s Top 5 film festivals. The screening will be online as well as in-person on May 29th, 2021 in London’s Odeon Theatre in Greenwich.  

THE NEW GUY in Huntington Beach

I am so happy that THE NEW GUY found its festival. On June 5th the Zeitgeist Film Festival will present the film in the Comedy Shorts program. “Who said the end of the world couldn’t be a hoot?!”

The screening starts at 9:00 pm at the Pacific City Theater (H210) in Huntington Beach. Check out their webpage for more information and tickets.

The festival focuses on bringing filmmaker together so I hope to see all of your there.

The Villa Aurora in Los Angeles

I had the pleasure of making this short documentary about the Villa Aurora in Los Angeles

The magnificent house has been used as an artist residence since 1995 and it is the former home of the German-Jewish author Lion Feuchtwanger and his wife Marta.

ANTUMBRA in Miami

Another amazing festival just picked up ANTUMBRA. The Miami SciFi festival, the best SciFi festival in the South Eastern US, included the film into this year’s lineup.

Due to the pandemic, the festival will be virtual. Our screening is scheduled for February 24th, at 9:15pm (EST) or 6:15 (PST). Join us on eventive for the screening.

SILENT KNIGHT at Planet 9 Film Fest

I am very proud to announce that SILENT KNIGHT is included in this year’s Planet 9 Film & Art Fest. A true indie gem in Los Angeles. Due to the pandemic, the festival will be online and streaming for free through Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube on December 12th at 3.33 pm PST.

ANTUMBRA at Berlin Sci-Fi Filmfest

So honored that ANTUMBRA got picked up by the Berlin Sci-Fi Filmfest, Germany’s Premiere International Science Fiction Festival. The festival will be online on Xerb. ANTUMBRA is schedule in Session 10 starting on November 26. Possible live screenings and events could happen at a later date if COVID permits it. Check out the Babylon Cinema in Berlin for more updates.    

ANTUMBRA was shot as a CINE Practicum with a very talented group of cinematography students and produced at the New York Film Academy in 2019.

ELDUR Á HIMNI in Toronto

ELDUR Á HIMNI – FIRE IN THE SKY will be screened tomorrow during the Experimental, Dance & Music Film Festival in Toronto/Canada.

The screening on October 24th is at The Carlton Cinemas, located in the heart of downtown Toronto at 20 Carlton Street. The event runs from 7pm to 9:10pm.

HALEEMA in Hamburg!

HALEEMA will be screened during the 26th Filmfest Hamburg as part of the program “Heimatfilme”, a section connecting cinema and integration. This year’s lineup features films from Afghanistan, Germany, Eritrea, Iraq, Iran, Kurdistan, Somalia, Sudan, and Syria.

On September 30th, HALLEEMA will screen at 19.00 at the Gemeindezentrum St. Markus-Hoheluft in Hamburg. After the screening, filmmakers and guests can connect during a communal dinner while sharing typical dishes from the regions of the films.

There is no entry fee, donations are welcome but not mandatory.
